Totemian Brandboards Expand Across Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain Network

When we first introduced Totemian Brandboards to Metro Vancouver, the idea was simple: meet people in the daily routines they already have — the platform wait, the transfer, the walk between doors. That first wave started small, in a handful of SkyTrain stations chosen for exactly that kind of everyday moment, as we announced when the network first arrived at Metro Vancouver stations.
Since then, the network has grown considerably. Five Brandboards are live today, and we're expanding to 19 locations across Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain system — spanning the Expo, Millennium, and Canada lines, operated by TransLink, plus the SeaBus terminal and key transit corridors that connect them.
Where Totemian Brandboards live now
- Downtown Vancouver: Waterfront Station, Burrard Station, Granville Station, Vancouver City Centre Station, Waterfront Station SeaBus Terminal
- Vancouver East & Central: Main Street–Science World Station, Commercial–Broadway Station, West End Transit Corridor
- Burnaby: Patterson Station, Metrotown Station, Royal Oak Station, Edmonds Station, Lougheed Town Centre Station, Production Way–University Station
- New Westminster: New Westminster Station, Columbia Station
- Surrey: Scott Road Station, Surrey Central Station, King George Station
This list builds directly on our original six launch locations — Brentwood, Commercial, Royal Oak, Gilmore, Patterson, and Renfrew — which remain part of the network as it's grown into its current form.
Placements follow the same criteria as day one: daily routines, waiting moments, natural intersections of foot traffic, and places where attention tends to settle rather than rush past. That's the same logic behind what makes place-based media work as a format in the first place.
Why place-based media works here
Totemian isn't a digital signage vendor — we build place-based, community-anchored media, and SkyTrain is a clear example of why that matters. People experience a platform as a pause that repeats: the same wait, most weekdays, often for years. A Brandboard placed well becomes part of that environment rather than demanding a single forced moment of attention, earning familiarity through repetition instead.
For media buyers weighing this against other formats, it helps to see how a managed screen network like this one is actually planned, booked, and reported on — and how it compares to roadway and transit OOH formats already familiar to most planners.
Pricing & availability
As the network expands, availability is limited by design — we're choosing stations where a Brandboard fits the environment, not filling every platform.
- CA$900 per Brandboard, per month
- CA$30 per Brandboard, per day (equivalent rate)
- 1-month minimum term
