Afghan Turkish Cuisine Joins the Totemian Network

Totemian's local media network now reaches Burnaby's Afghan community through Afghan Turkish Cuisine, a restaurant blending Afghan and Turkish flavours into a menu with a character all its own.

Located on Willingdon Avenue, Afghan Turkish Cuisine serves the neighbourhood Monday through Saturday, with a menu that draws on the shared culinary threads running between two cuisines. It's the kind of everyday gathering spot Totemian looks for: a place where people sit down, place an order, and spend real time in the room.

Two Brandboards are now live at the restaurant, running synced content in a high-dwell setting — diners waiting on a meal or a takeout order, not scrolling past on a feed.

As with every Totemian venue, advertising terms are structured so both the network and the venue benefit from the traffic already coming through the door.

Afghan Turkish Cuisine is one of the first venues from Burnaby's Afghan community to join the Brandboard network, and Totemian hopes to bring more Afghan-owned businesses on board in the months ahead.
